When I bought mine it was… late 90s or early 2000s? I ate rice and drank water for months to be able to afford them. Never mind all the euro vinyl I was importing from Belgium. Nowadays I just pick up records from thrift shops and listen to oldies just to chill.

They’re sick, dude. Way way way back in the day I had a set of SL1200s, a Numark… something or other mixer, and a set of MDR-V700DJ cans. I’m downgraded now to a vintage SLQ2 from ‘78 but I’ll forever be all about Technics.

Yeah this really doesn’t seem likely. The only thing that makes me pause is that the BBC isn’t a clickbait factory like, say, PlanetF1. If they are reporting this, there mist be something to it.
