Bitter and paranoid. Mind the barbed wire fence thats just to keep the reactionary dogs out. Welcome in!

Sometimes I stream. I mostly plan to use this spot for game journaling!

this game is not balanced in the slightest. went from a decent time to 'bash your RNG against a wall and hope for the best'. lost in basically 1 turn on the introduction of ranged gameplay and every time you lose you have to backtrack to get the page in the story. game just turned into this and idc.

Rock Bottom (2014) by Patchwork Doll Games follows in the footsteps of the 'self kill' mechanical history of puzzle platforming games like Karoshi and PT Winterbottom and has you trying to die by fall damage. Neat if overly opaque at points. A overall quaint and serene journey upwards. #browserblues

Kicking this thread back off with a visual novel release called It Paints Me (2023). Posted 2 years ago for the "Scream Jam". This story is a nice foray into VN amateur production. Well focused with 3 paths to diverge on. Strong victorian story of loss. A bit generic in spots though. #browserblues

I think this sucks and does show how the value of the 'indie dream' label application has dissolved from its Pixel & Nifflas era roots. It's worth noting the obscurity of this is probably a result of somebody wanting to clock out from the early. The art department is load bearing in this game.

Next is an early Lucas Pope release the Republica Times (2012). This is a fairly barebones and hysterical understanding of media propaganda and state control. Its a bit red scare oriented but the concept is neatly done for a game jam release. The family abduction stuff was extra tho. #browserblues

First inclusion here is the 2002 newgrounds release of Alien Hominid, a small 1 stage run and gun game by Tom Fulp. It was neat! I dont play lots of these. It was released as an ad. Interestingly this may be 1 of the earliest examples of a flash indie dev with a console platform. #browserblues

I wont share everything but definitely some stories now and then. Most games in themselves are not that notable but there's a strong sense of 'rolling history' you get if you try and explore them on mass. #browserblues
