Turns out you're right; DOJ pressured Apple to drop CBP tracking apps like ICEBlock from the app store. Some talented tar heel programmer should whip up a progressive web app w/ the same functionality and host it overseas.

All I know is it's still on my iPhone (and working) since I loaded it several months ago when I spotted a CBP car cruising south Durham business parks.

Anyway, point is, science is very good at answering the почему of the universe but lousy at answering зачем.
For that, we have spirituality, religion, or various philosophies including the valid atheist/nihilist "no purpose whatsoever." But any answer to зачем stuff is just like, your opinion, man.

I've said this over and over, but someone needs to hear this, right now:
Virtually all of the best things in my life were things I had absolutely no way of predicting, even a few months ahead of time.
