A political party, when you get down to it's core, is basically a business. When any business is struggling, there is always a move to try and find an external cause. Our pay isn't competitive is a really common one, or in this case, "people are stupid or mean" becomes an easy answer. 1/2

Growing up in the 1970's, I loved America, not because anyone told me to but because everyone around me loved America. If we are to the point where the government tells us to love America or lose school funding, we've fallen off the propaganda (dah comrade) cliff.

What if global warming is like a fever for the earth, a reaction to this pestilence harming it, destroying its balance? Aren't we just assuring our own extinction by helping the process along? We can't destroy the earth. We are just making it uninhabitable for our species. Nature, huh?

Separated from wolves by 6 million years of evolution, the pups are genetically modified grey wolves, not dire wolves. There is no de-extinction. Very interesting read.

I just watched a wonderful documentary, on PBS, about the fight to pass the Americans with Disabilities Act. It made me sad watching a functioning government doing important things. Will we ever see that again?
