She/Her, progressive, New Mexican, former librarian, watercolor painter, photographer, loves geeky stuff. Lily is my dog. Married w/ 2 kids in college - a son at UNM in Albuquerque & a 🏳️‍⚧️ daughter at UAS in Juneau. TERFs & bigots can fuck right off.
What a great story! Hey, I think I might have seen you at your library last week when I dropped off a donation. What a small world!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Bluesky friends!

Happy birthday! I’m literally arguing with myself about birthday promos today. My kid wants to take me to dinner & I’m trying to decide if I should save him money by going up a place that will give me free birthday food or go somewhere I actually want to eat. I need to find somewhere that does both!

Me too. I started S1 of Schitt’s Creek about 2 hours ago & have no other plans for the night.

You’ll be happy to know the taco survived & Lily was pleased to discover the squeaker still works. She’s very protective of her toys. (The rip was done by one of her doggie friends.)

So true! It constantly amazes me. This woman is old enough to be my boomer mother too.

*note: I wasn’t actually wearing my NPR shirt today because it’s hella cold. That’s just the only thing I can think from the past month that might have offended her. I’m always friendly. I just wander off when they start spouting conservative nonsense (after Lily mooches treats off of them)

I’m glad to hear that!

I honestly love it. It felt like a huge weight had lifted once I realized they were doing well and happy. We did it! We helped them start the next chapter! Not being responsible for their day-to-day needs is GLORIOUS. Plus, I’m having fun with my husband again. 😏 Empty Nest = 10/10 would recommend!

I missed you too!

Good to see you too! How’s your pup? (Archie? I’m not sure if I remember his name) Lily’s as sweet as always.
