Excited to share what I've been working on @projectdrawdown.bsky.social: A Drawdown Roadmap for Food, Agriculture, and Land Use in Southeast Asia.
Food & land use generate over half of emissions in the region. We identified hotspots of emissions and the most impactful solution for each province.

Neat image released @esa.int shows a glacier flowing into Ross Ice Shelf. The new Biomass mission's P-band radar is designed to penetrate the forest canopy, but it can also penetrate into ice and is less affected by surface characteristics that can skew measurements. www.esa.int/Applications...

New research from NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies finds that the contraction of the world's storm-cloud zones may be a big contributor to the increase in Earth's sunlight absorption.

Looking down at Earth from space, it's clear that how we produce food dominates landscapes.

Very cool to see the expansion of solar in China 🤯
2017 -> 2024
Over the past 6 yrs, their solar capacity surged by ~40k MW per year, whereas in the U.S., capacity expanded by ~8k MW a year.
