Happily married Michigander. Somewhere between starry eyed 60s liberal, and old cynic. I swear a lot. No DMs unless we know each other.

Most of you aren’t the mind readers you think you are.
Maybe they "read" the people on SNAP and the government employees who hadn't had a paycheck in over a month.

Yes, I think there are sleep meds that don't mess with the different phases of sleep quite so much.

Those look good. Very thin.

Hah--if she updates, they'll just send thanks and further appeals to both addresses from now on. (Me? Cynical?)

Yum. We may have to have a special chat to trade recipes one of these weeks.

Glad you are able to take it a little bit easy. Overwhelm can really take it out of you.

I am doing way too many of my usual rituals/"harm mitigations" especially in the kitchen, but it's still better than avoidance (home cooking is better for many reasons). Also, I'm trying to stop the obsessive cleaning a couple steps sooner than before. This is aided by lack of energy.

Nancy Mace thinks it's offensive that people are trying to hold men who abuse children accountable when there's more important work to be done.

Like making sure poor people can't eat.

Unfortunately, talented people lack the one quality Trump people must have: loyalty surpassing any common sense.

I've tried to get "naive cynicism" to catch on. You'll believe anything so long as it can be framed as against the dominant narrative (whatever you think that is).

Good points. I also think that they affect the quality of the sleep. So, while it's better to have sleep than not, best of all is natural sleep.

Anxiety has been an issue today. I took something to help me sleep last night and am wondering if that wearing off is a contributing factor.
I'm hoping to turn it around but expect only limited success (getting a few things done might help a bit).

Sleep, when possible. Soft, cozy clothing. Whatever entertainment appeals at the time--reading, listening or video.
I hope you feel better soon.
