Yeah, that's a much, much bigger factor than the tariffs among people I know. The tariffs suck, but a whole bunch of countries are getting hit by them - Canada's not really getting singled out. The "51st state" crap is very different.

Now that I'm older, though, I strongly prefer varifocal glasses to multifocal contacts. So I'm back to wearing glasses almost every day and contacts only when glasses will be a particular hassle. I just ordered a second pair of glasses - first time ever owning more than one pair at a time! So fancy
