My wife teaches special ed.
I used to work in assistive technology two decades ago.

There are technologies that genuinely help those with disabilities—screen readers, accessible PDFs of textbooks, high contrast settings, voice-to-text, etc. They are purpose-built.

EdTech usually isn't doing that.

If people's experiences (which are qualitative data!) are saying one thing but the "hard data" says something else, it means your data is missing something.

Similarly: Under Biden when homeless shelters were seeing record need but economists insisted the numbers were fine.
