Just finished: The Haunting of Tram Car 015, @pdjeliclark.bsky.social (a lot of fun!), just starting: Ambergris, @jeffvandermeer.bsky.social (a little intimidating in its single volume binding)

This was such an enjoyable, informative series to read.

Not at all the only one - this is the reason I joined BlueSky. Fifteen of the books I read between last September and now were BlueSky recommendations from authors I follow, or else recommendations stemming from those books/authors, including a couple of new instant-buy authors.

Ethan Frome. I don't even remember why (and I haven't reread it since), but my entire 11th grade lit class was deeply unimpressed.

Just finished: Leech, by Hiron Ennes (great), in process: The Devil by Name, by Keith Rosson (very good), up next: one of three other books I have checked out and due ~same time. Oops. I regret nothing.

Marking my calendar for @marthawells.com , @scalzi.com , @nghivo.bsky.social in particular, and I've got a few books to read between now and then ( @sarahgailey.bsky.social, @tochitruestory.bsky.social )

I reread most books I like, but there are books (and Rakesfall was absolutely one) that I know I'll reread as I'm still reading, and there's nothing better than that anticipation.

I finish books I hate if someone I know (and find reliable) recommends them, but it's only ever paid off once and that dubiously (I hated the whole first Thomas Covenant trilogy until the very end of the whole thing, and even now I'm not sure about it - I was young, haven't reread it as an adult)
