Furry and big nerd, kink on main, She/They, in my late 20s, expect NSFW, won't interact with those I have suspicion of being underaged
Might as well

I feel like GP-02's face is one of the more obvious Kabuto mask influenced designs

Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Brilliantly Shining Heresy (1994)

As someone big into 90s anime this one was nice to see.

Most of the series was fairly decent, but the ending I feel was a little on the weak side and almost makes the original ending a little worse for it. I'd still say its worth existing

Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust (2000)

Now this is more like it! Breathtaking animation style and a lot more of an interesting plot and happenings.

Watched it in English since apparently the movie was made for Americans and was shown in English in Japanese theaters. Wasn't bad that way.

Vampire Hunter D (1985)

Creative movie with a striking gothic tone, but a bit of a slow-paced movie with not the most going for it. Not one I'll probably go back to too often.

Klonoa Door to Phantomile (Phantasy Reverie Collection Version) [2022]

Cute and mechanically rich 2.5D platformer with a lot of heart, the ending is quite the slap in the face in a good way.

I feel like the visual design of the remake is a little weak compared to the PS1 original so that's better

Scooby-Doo! and Krypto, Too! (2023)

Cute crossover between Scooby-Doo and DC Comics. The Scooby Gang was well written, most of the jokes were pretty good even if the Superman's Glasses jokes were a little off IMO

Glad this wasn't canned as a tax write-off.

Armor Hunter Merowlink (1988)

An interesting sidestory about a man scorned taking his revenge on those who wronged him and his found family.

Very creative action sequences based on fighting ATs without their own ATs. I can see why its often remembered divorced from VOTOMS itself.

Deliverance (1972)

This is a film I'm going to have to watch again at some point, but for a movie about surviving hard times in the sticks there was a lot to appreciate here.

Maybe should have put it off until I was more in the mood for a movie like this, but I can do it again sometime.

Hollow Knight (Steam; 2017)

A very cute and enjoyable metroidvania with storytelling and thematic elements inspired by Dark Souls

Generally fun, the right level of challenging even if some of the DLC bosses give me frustration.

Would recommend. Hoping Silksong lives up to it.

Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Roots of Ambition (1988)

Probably the strongest of the 80s OVAs, detailing Chirico's induction into the Red Shoulders and how he became to be the man he is at the start of the series

Action scenes are good, characterization is great, what's more to say?

Armored Trooper VOTOMS: The Big Battle (1986)

Probably the weakest of the 80s OVAs, but still some solid action scenes and characterization from Chirico, as well as expanding the worldbuilding with how Balarant tries to create Perfect Soldiers

Armored Trooper VOTOMS The Last Red Shoulder (1985)

A neat little interquel diving into the time between Woodo and Kunmen providing characterization into Chirico's time with the Red Shoulders

Does raise a few questions regarding some character moments during Kunmen but still overall good

Armored Trooper VOTOMS TV series (1983)

A very well done early real robot genre work, the characters are well realized and at times harrowing and the robots are cool as shit.

I feel like the Planet Quent arc kind of loses me a little but I still have overall positive feelings on it

∀ Gundam (Called Turn A Gundam) [1999]

An incredible swan song to Gundam up to that point.

I wouldn't call anything following it bad but this works incredibly as a conclusion.

The movies are good but I'd recommend checking out the series first and just using the movies for quicker rewatches

War of the Worlds (2025)

What a piece of shit. A funny piece of shit but a piece of shit.

While the premise isn't dead on arrival its clear that at some point early on they decided that no effort was needed on stuff like the writing and visuals

Kirby's Dream Land/Kirby of the Stars (Game Boy)

Lack of copy abilities aside it is impressive how much they nailed Kirby on the word go

If anything it's more breezy than Mario Land, but I remember the Extra Mode being quite the kick in the pants. I'll do another run of that later I think

Super Mario Land (1989)

For a very early game boy game, it's quite cute even if it feels quite jank compared to the first Super Mario Bros

Nice and breezy for a single sitting

Superman (2025)

Very enjoyable movie, most comic book I've ever seen a superhero film and not a bad thing.

And also very true to the character of Superman from what little I've read

Fang of the Sun Dougram (1981)

The first mecha show made in the wake of Gundam 0079 and does very interesting things with the new avenues Gundam opened up

Wouldn't say its a favorite of mine but it did what it sets out to do very well

The French Connection (1971)

Pretty good crime thriller. I like William Friedkin as a director.

Not that sympathetic to cop characters but I feel like you're supposed to think they kind of suck. I do think the drug dealers were fun also

Annie Hall (1977)

An important comedy from what I've heard. laid all the foundations for how modern comedy films and TV is done.

While its hard to put myself back in the shoes of 1977, I can acknowledge that the writing is pretty snappy)

Even if some jokes are collar tug worthy
