Yes. 1. What’s the solution when (seemingly) more than half our population is oblivious to this fact? 2. Isn’t it essentially too late? The corruption is rampant. Arguably every government official is owned by their donors. The great experiment has failed. So what now?

Agreed. The damage is being and has been done. We distrust the government and the voting systems that we rely upon for fair elections and accurate representation. We are being lied to by officials regularly. The press is owned by billionaires. Gotta love capitalism.

I’ve given up on NYT. I prefer The Guardian and The Atlantic. Also John Oliver cuz a girls gotta try and laugh instead of cry.

He literally writes at a 5th grade reading level—if that. I don’t even think it’s a conceit. I’d say he’s a victim of poor education, but that seems unlikely. Just an idiot by choice. Cool.
