Campaigning group opposing border regimes, detention and deportation in Northern Ireland / North of Ireland. #ShutDownLarneHouse

Since opening in 2011 over 6000 people have been incarcerated in Larne House immigration detention centre in the North. Community-based Alternatives to Detention exist but UK Gov refuse to pilot them in N. Ireland.

Just one of the many reasons we shut down our Twitter account in 2024. Musk’s feature inadvertently revealed Twitter as being an engine of fake accounts involved in hostile state actor interference. The feature was quickly disabled, but screenshots exist of where the posts are coming from.

Today’s news. Huge sums of public money going to the proscribed South East Antrim UDA who were linked to the Ballymena paramilitary backed white supremacist violence, intimidation, pogroms and what should have been treated as attempted murders. [1/n]

“Cree, who has been dumped as a kids’ teacher by her martial arts school ... stood on a bench in front of Belfast City Hall led the sickening anti-Muslim hate chant.”

From June 2025 Home Office annual data, there were 49,341 irregular arrivals, 88% of these arrived on small boats.

Remember, UK Gov externalises people by refusing to issue humanitarian visas or by implementing schemes where people can claim asylum from outside the country and arrive safely. [1/n]

We’re in West Belfast for an anti-racist rally following an attack on a family by men who forced their way into their home and terrorised a family with young children.
While fascists use the cover of night to attack communities, the West of the city stood in solidarity with the targeted family.

Far-right appeasement only ever benefits fascists.

The Overton window is now firmly in far-right territory under Starmer and Mahmood. No far-right election wins needed, no winning of arguments, just a weak and unprincipled Labour Party, PM and Home Secretary.

American and English - that tells you everything you need to know about the Irish 'patriot' fascists.

'Why shouldn’t Dundalk have art? Why shouldn’t Dundalk have culture and fresh ideas? The influx of far-right agitators into Dundalk over the last few years has been disheartening. [1/2]

A new low in far-right appeasment from the UK Government. Border violence embeds racism, this includes denial or restriction of access to asylum. Who lives here belongs here.

This is the ‘protecting women’ crew and a chaperone and co-promoter of the Pink Ladies rally in Belfast.

We’ve had to black out SA references and disgusting and abusive language.

We stand with journalists.

From the PSNI’s abject failure protect communities or pursue arrests during the August 2024 far-right violence to to the leaked non-intervention orders issued to PSNI officers during the paramilitary backed far-right Ballymena violence and pogroms - alarm bells should be sounding. [1/4]

The language is starting to change in Ireland, a recognition that what the far-right have been engaging in - is terror.

This leaves questions about why in the North there has been a cover-up of not only fascists engaging in terror, but proscribed groups being amongst them - and still .. [1/n]

Hope Not Hate features Mark Payne, while the Justice Minister and PSNI look away.

Given the escalation in tactics by domestic far-right extremists in Ireland, when will the Irish state get serious about the Irish far-right's links with loyalist paramilitaries in the North & British far-right? Or the Irish far-right's international dark money & hostile state actor finances? [1/2]

The road to fascism is paved with complacency. Yesterday, only 63 Labour MPs bothered to show up and vote no on Nigel Farage’s motion to withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights.

This is political cowardice and evidences a party that is completely unserious on preventing fascism. [1/2]

From Elon Musk this morning to the far-right grifters that PSNI refuse to act on in this place, monetisation is driving white supremacist and sectarian violence and intimidation. Violence and intimidation that the state is refusing to act on. [1/n]

Not a protest, not thuggishness, not disorder. Name it.

Paramilitary backed far-right, white supremacist violence, intimidation and pogroms in East Belfast have impacted thousands with no political attention or strategy to end it. Only silence and the handing down of impunity.

Who does the state protect?

This isn’t immigration tensions, this is white-supremacist terror.

A definition of terror: 'Security Council Resolution 1566 define terrorism as criminal acts, such as causing death, serious injury, or hostage-taking, committed to instill terror in the public or a group, with the intent .. [1/n]

Australian News recently revisited Ballymena to report on the ongoing racist campaign to displace remaining Roma families from their homes.

The reporter was handed a list of addresses that were targets. One 'protester' Ernie asks the reporter 'Can you explain to me why you think I am racist? [1/2]

Up to 60 men were involved in this attempted lynching in your constituency. An eyewitness said that despite the mobilisation being prennnounced that PSNI 'were nowhere to be seen'. The attackerrs were allowed to disperse, were there arrests?
