I want to take a moment today to honor my uncle who passed from cancer last week. He custom-made the velvet for my #Aeneas #cosplay coat because sewing is our family trade and he always loved to talk shop with me. I'm so thankful that he wanted to be a part of this project, to carry him with me.

This is actually why the Ea in FFXIV also kind of look this! They're also souls that have discarded corporeal forms, and even other enemies in a FATE in their Ultime Thule zone (i forget the exact one) has other forms of disembodied souls of the Zilart from this part of XI.

Lots of more hand sewing later, the cuffs are on and came out better than I could have dreamed of. The end is in sight so I'm pushing through to finish this cosplay tonight!

I heat shaped and sand foam for the 3 dimensional cuff and pseudo-belt pieces before wrapping them in their base fabric and securely tightly with adhesive. This gets the piece done, but I'm back to hand sewing lace and appliqué hell this evening!
