At least eight goats, including five kids, died on the farm in just weeks 💔 Some died from illnesses that were ignored, while a co-owner said two died after eating dog food.

The dead goats were dropped on a dirt pile & left to rot 😔

Shannon the goat suffered from a burst abscess on her face.

A co-owner said that “every goat” had a highly contagious bacterial infection that causes abscesses like this. Even though the pus is contagious, the co-owner said wounds would not be cleaned.

Another goat, Dahlia, walked with a bowlegged gait. As her lameness worsened, she began resting on her knees whenever possible because her front legs hurt so badly 💔

When the investigator pointed it out, the co-owner said, “She’s always been like that.”

This goat, Barbara, was underweight & had at least two contagious infections.

When the co-owner said she would “probably die soon,” the investigator rushed her for care. Despite nearly a week of hospitalization, a vet recommended that she be euthanized to alleviate suffering.

Another goat named Abigail, Tina's pen-mate, had skin lesions on her back & was chronically underweight. Her hooves were severely overgrown, which can lead to arthritis, abscesses, & a painful infection known as foot rot 😔

This goat, named Tina, was in so much pain that she was unable to walk on her front legs and was forced to crawl on her knees.

A co-owner admitted that Tina should be put out of her misery, but left her to suffer in a waste-filled pen for months 💔
