You may be wondering, "why do you say it's a Saturn game yet the thumbnail says Playstation?"
That's because it's a Saturn game, rather clumsily ported to the Playstation. There's no major gameplay difference, but due to how the Saturn handled sprites, the PS version has some graphical errors.

The Amiga port of R-Type was at the time the closest you could get to the arcade version at home, graphically speaking... But the music suffered greatly.
This music only plays on the title, port credits and high scores, but you're free to sit through that and listen to it for as long as you like.
