Analysis from me and Michael Kinnucan at @nyfiscalpolicy.bsky.social showed that New York could lose 215k jobs due to medicaid cuts coming from the house bill... the senate bill is an even more severe cut for NY ie. more jobs lost.

An earlier article has this line about expiring grants and covid funding. i don't really understand the "flat enrollment" issue? would be nice to understand the public financing that's going on, especially as it relates to housing in the area

Okay, but I need to just say that this quote is quite wrong. A rent freeze would be more like putting $600 per YEAR back in tenant's pockets. You would have to pay $6,000/month and experience a 10% increase in rent for the freeze to create a $600 monthly benefit.

We need a close reading of this text. Is the white space symbolic of land use? Or is he trying simply trying to reach the level of detail and specificity demonstrated in Klein and Thompson's "Abundance"?
