If no one moves after grad school, then you're all just looking for a job in a market oversaturated with LIS grads.

So this was difficult for me to accept and also not possible for everyone, but my prospects DRAMATICALLY increased when I expanded my job search geographically, adding additional states. I ended up working for 2ish years in another state before I was able to get a job in my home state.

So much of AI tomfoolery is people making the same mistakes they made with unregulated social media less than a decade ago and having no concept of what could go wrong.

How many tech companies build themselves up on a mission of goodwill (we're a nonprofit! We just want to connect people!) only to "restructure" once they have fundamentally changed a part of society and made people dependent upon them? Why do we keep falling for it?

We have the students, they just don't have any questions.
