Did you get the one that said you’d be “added to the list of dishonest individuals”? I was insulted but also somehow charmed. Imagine a world with an official dishonest individuals list. And if you’re on it, no driving for you!

I’ve been having the opposite problem. Part of my new novel is set in an authoritarian near-future United States, and with every passing day it’s less fictional.
