I dreamed about an unexpectedly nondiagnostic bronch 2-3x while on vacation. I have not yet found the line between excellent and obsessive. 😫

a bunch of chart questions constantly reinforcing that they should spend most of their time memorizing it. It’s easy to push back on this during my week with them and see results by the end of the week, but not sure how we change this culture on a larger, more durable scale.

that was the case with this dream. VERY often the trainees know the chart inside and out, but can’t tell me if the patient smokes, what they said was going on when they decided to call EMS, or how much O2 they were on when they saw them.

I think it’s because as attendings, we ask them…

I think about this frequently. Feel like I lost a really significant community, group of friends, and important work resource. It’s just not the same here.
