Yeah that's one thing I miss with remote work, when I used to be at an office (back in Sydney) there were a lot of great coffee spots around!

If I get bored of a tv show or book midway I'll usually just look up the ending on Wikipedia 😂 life is too short to finish a mediocre book!!

I think anything that you enjoy is best! It's easier to learn a language when you are enjoying it, in my opinion (easier to do after work when you are tired etc).

+1 to this, I have this plus the DeepL app for translating (it's kind of tiring reading longer paragraphs like emails 😅)

Yeah there's still plenty of great hikes to do though! E.g. Mt Kuju down in Kyushu, or if you want to stay closer to Tokyo, maybe a local mountain like Mt Tanzawa or Mt Kumotori is on the harder side (~20km)

And thank you! I'd love to try out some hiking in China one day.

Heya! Unfortunately I don't have much experience in off season hiking in the Alps - anywhere at the 2500m+ mark will be covered in snow! So you will need to bring gear like crampons + ice axe.

Front matter is a good tip! I don't make enough use of that - thanks!

Yeah actually I think I'd go even more closely aligned with the existing stuff around it (added some random notes to the alt text)

of course I'm not a professional designer by any means so feel free to ignore any or all of it!
