That reminds me of a concept from renaissance Italian fencing. Tempo, or time. Ideally, any action taken would take place at the perfect moment, within the rhythm of the fight, while breaking your opponent's timing. Open your defences in one spot, so you know where and how to defend and counter. 1/

I found a TOS Romulan emblem in 3D printable form. It was some ridiculously overcomplicated file, so I rebuilt it in Tinkercad. 2.8 million polygons down to under 100. www.thingiverse.com/thing:7210810

FASA Trek had a divergent Romulan portrayal though. Very different language, but the culture still rings true.
