At this point I'm thinking I'll probably pick it up, but I'm hoping that a third party produces a combiner frame specifically for him.
....Or maybe we'll get a box set at some point throws in some AotP limb-bot repaints.

That Nexus Prime alt mode looks like the prehistoric ancestor of all cassetteicons, but I hope it does do *something* else to justify that ropey back-end.
