During the ill-fated Lady Franklin Bay Expedition (1881-1884), Lieutenant Lockwood, Sergeant Rice, and Private Henry wrote The Arctic Moon newspaper. They provided info about events, meetings, jokes, & other ephemera to keep the crew occupied during periods of inactivity.

I’ve joined Blue Sky! How exciting.

I research and transcribe documents about 19th century Arctic Expeditions.

Currently transcribing documents from: Greely (1881) and Kane (1853)

Have transcribed Greely documents in the past including their newspaper!
