I've really warmed up to the first one after the re-edit(s). I was incredibly disappointed back in 1979, but much of what was wrong with it had to do with it not truly being finished by opening day. Knowing better what to expect also helps. It's less *jarring* now.

I know this isn't really the point here, but as a fan of old movies I'm REALLY not comfortable with Netflix,which rapes and vandalizes EVERYTHING they show, having control over that library. Will they shut down the Archive Collection? Wouldn't put it past them.
