Last 2 *HOME* games against mediocre opponents, total 1-7!

I suspect a matter of when not if.

Managed decline?
Would keep the Tories happy & Murdoch would be delighted.

I have issues with the Guardian & their very American bias especially when it comes to issues of race - and have told them.

The only main broadcaster/news outlet that has real credit for me is Channel 4. Even I have concerns over their E4 output, but that’s another matter I suppose.

This.
“It is, once again, a question of whether interviewers have the temerity to shut down his whining obfuscations.”

Absolutely. Yes our politicians have been clandestinely awful, but massive stick needs to taken to so much of our main political “journalists” - & their managers.

That’s the Tory position-when defending … (checks notes) … Boris Johnson!! 😬
Content.
“More charismatic” is a subjective issue, playing to populist politics.
Ps John Major as PM - didn’t he “anger rid” of polytechnics?.

But they do, they complain saying that the BBC is too left wing. And they tried to show they are very left wing & present it as non-bias.

Remember this will all blow over with the next news story. But the principle is there Save The BBC.
Don’t lose sight if it. Once it’s gone - that’s it. The fascists know it, that’s why they want to extinguish it.

Thank you for this.

Just shows he’s not the patriot he purports to be.

Watch they’ll do what the Tories did - in the run up to an election keep the leader well away from a microphone & most definitely any interviews unless it’s a strong political ally.

The Club have known his form was on a precipice for a while.Thats why his contract talks have been drawn out. But look at his output over the last few years, it would have been mad not to renew. Surely they’ll sell him in the summer now. There will no doubt be 2 or 3 Saudi clubs keen to sign him.
November 11, 2025 at 11:45 AM
Give Robson, Venables or Hoddle this sort of talent, I’d wager they would have done better than Southgate did. Possibly, Keegan too?!
November 6, 2025 at 3:15 PM
Also lucky (not just by results) to have picked up a team when the likes of Klopp, Guardiola, Wenger, Ferguson, Mourinho, Ancelotti etc etc had all implemented regimes within clubs producing talent. The PL is also awash with money attracting so much talent for home players to learn from.
November 6, 2025 at 3:14 PM
Just to be clear, you are saying/ you believe Southgate is a better manager than Klopp, Guardiola, Ferguson & Ancelotti?

Was Southgate a League manager? If so how did he do?
November 6, 2025 at 10:08 AM
I’ll take my “Lessons in Leadership” from Klopp, Guardiola, Ferguson & Ancelotti thanks.
Southgate really was not that good. He was ok. That’s it.
November 6, 2025 at 9:27 AM
Won the league by not meddling with a team that was humming. This was endlessly pointed out.
So the next season promptly rips apart a winning team to shoehorn in every man & his dog, bought in the summer (bar Mamadashvili).Go back to the old team & slowly integrate the new signings as & when needed.

Has there been a bigger political own goal in history (during peacetime) than Brexit?
