I only have undergrads, but when I was applying to grad school I heard from multiple prospective advisors that they don’t hire anyone right out of undergrad - they want them to have field experience & better idea of research interests first. I give my students the same advice.

I have one that I wrote when I was managing social media marketing for the grad program at my last position. It’s not SciComm per se (science related but goal was to share grad work and recruit new students) but it does follow a typical marketing strategy format, includes a COMPASS message box etc.

The higher up in science you go, the more time you spend sitting down!
