Really enjoyed going to the Finnish Embassy today for their event "The Finnish Recipe – Strengthening Societal Resilience with Media Literacy".

Key points were around integrating media literacy as a holistic approach rather than an add-on, separate subject ->

LinkedIn is changing its terms of use and will automatically opt you in to use your data for training their AI models...

Make sure you opt out in the settings..

I guess it's nice of them to warm people? 🥲

Great to see all those privacy by design regulations doing its magic 🫠

South Pak has always had some of the sharpest tech criticism that was also hilarious. I used to teach Humancentipad for years, but students don't watch it, and some think it's too grotesque 🤷‍♀️

Imagine if our society had the same hype and faith in our health, educaion amd environmental systems and just pour billions of investment into them like they do to gen AI, how would our lives look like?

Probably better ROI 😉

The media is a huge culprit in the AI hype. Why do we need to hear about 'AI future' from more tech bros, who are part of tech companies who are lobbying our governments and institutions so hard to get a bigger role in our future?

Haha, I LOVE THAT! I just saw that instead of swearing, I can pledge with no mention of the monarchy!
August 1, 2025 at 2:21 PM
It's happening, I am trying to be British...

Any advice on how not to swear to the monarchy as part of the ceremony will be greatly appreciated!

Now that my jetlag has settled, I can say how wonderful #IAMCR2025 in Singapore was. Definitely staying at Chinatown was the best decision I made, saw wonderful places, fell in love with hawkers, listened to
brilliant people, saw many museums, sweated like never before 😅 and met many cool people!

Loving the Hive building at Nanyang Technological University Singapore #IAMCR2025 which looks like a beehive 🐝
Still battling my jet lag 🫠

At Singapore for #IAMCR2025 and I am already loving the city. Went to the famous dumpling at the Complex hawker which have a Michelin star! And in general such care to details, amazing street art and everyone is nice! Just need to get over the jet lag 😅

😡 ABSOLUTELY NOT! You cannot replace humans with synthetic data! Stop trying to cut down on costs and automating human interaction and researchers inference. This is an inseparable part of SOCIAL science research!

My brain hurts from so many good presentations, chats and the karaoke at #AOIR2025Symposium at Bremen!

I especially loved being on the closing panel with brilliant women @jillian.bsky.social, @arnikazinke.bsky.social, & @ubiquity75.xyz, & discussing how can we think about the tech future we want!
