I made a new digital drawing. I'm not sure about the title yet, as I almost always struggle with titles. I don't wanna force too much of a feeling with a title, and take away your own interpretations.

With this series of linocuts I wanted to explore how to handle light, shadow and texture. But these works have a very personal meaning too, they're about depression, disassociation and gender dysphoria.

The biggest digital drawing I made so far, called "Growth". (60x95 cm)
I drew this still having a linocut in mind, so I worked from black to white carving the lines out, to get the same effect you get with linocuts.

A lot has happened this last year!
I finished my bachelor's degree and began my journey as a freelance illustrator.
I printed the first edition of all my linocuts and with those I opened my own online shop, which was a huge organisational undertaking.

I start most of my works with a digital sketch, for these detailed linocuts I completely draw the image digitally first, then print it out and transfer to the lino block and start carving!

First edition printing of 'the armchair' linocut done. This was my first bigger linocut, that got me not only really into lino printing, but also out of a creative and mental low point.
