I saw someone say Cyberverse (post season 1) was up with Beast Wars in quality... No. No, I watched the whole thing and I disagree. The character writing in CV was incredibly surface level stuff. Just compare Cheetors. BW trusted its audience to handle difficult topics whereas CV didn't.

I would love to know what was the thought process that led the Earthspark crew to give Hot Rod *that* voice.

On my last visit to my parents, I finally grabbed my old brass trombone (I moved with a pBone). It was a confusing because there were 6 trombones in my old closet and turns out my dad swapped cases so he could attach a strap to my hard case for ska shows. The case he put mine in is better though.

Also, Furman isn't allowed within a mile of this story.
I think a Transformers series with mostly girl Transformers would fix me. Especially if none of them were popular male characters genderbent. A girl moment, not a "I can't stop talking about my favorite popular male character but want to feel like a feminist so I'm going to genderbend him" moment.

Also, for someone who seems to like writing trippy sci-fi comics, Scioli bizarrely took the safe route by rewriting the Gobots as human-made androids when they're actually cyborgs. Originally humans/human-like but, over time, they changed and so now the only organic matter left is their brains.
If I had nickel for every comic series Tom Scioli drew a transforming robot eating/trying to eat a human, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.

I don't know how true the tubi watch order is for Gobots (and how much certain character appearances and intros were due to typical 80s cartoon weirdness), but I think I would pick the episode "Et tu, Cy-Kill?" for the episode to end the series on.

People will talk about how MTMTE Megatron agonized over his past atrocities and it'll be, like, one page where he recognizes humans are people or a sudden realization that organics in general are people and then lowball his organic genocide count by, like, 6 billion. It's never mentioned again.

It's hilarious that Gobots did the "the leaders of the opposing sides used to be BFFs but one was alienated by the government and turned on his friend after it was clear who the people in charge favored" thing decades before Transformers ever did. Megatron and OP didn't even have a BFF charm. 😞
So I've watched all of Challenge of the Gobots now.
I would say that it's a fun time, overall. Cy-Kill really is the star of the show. I would have loved more Smallfoot.

I don't often expect my pro-wrestling knowledge to rear its head when reading an American dystopia YA novel... But the author really could have used it because the bully character used a piledriver on a guy standing upright... A piledriver is flipping the other guy over and dropping him on his head.

You know... I have plenty of criticism for MTMTE/Lost Light, but boy howdy do I hate everything John Barber and Mairghread Scott chose to do with Rattrap. Like, why'd y'all even include the Beast Wars characters if that's what you were going to do with them? It's not like they made him more nuanced.

I hate to ruin your binary, but dogs also have boundaries. People are just more familiar with dog body language, though a good chunk aren't great at reading them.
