I see what you're saying that it would not be any help to a legal remedy. Possibly, not sure. However, it definitely would be a political remedy, i.e. Anyone supporting, still seeking to be excepted from Epstein disclosure would not be re-elected.

Also, there are multiple copies of those documents in lawyers, lawyer systems, court systems, and overseas governments. So any changes in the local copy can be compared to the other copies and detected that way.

My view would be that the 1,000 FBI agent redactions are not admissible unless they're all explained. The page numbers, yeah, they'll certainly be there.
I wouldn't be so pessimistic about this. I think that the people who drafted the legislation did quite a good job.
