I'm a week ahead of myself. I was going to be with friends for Thanksgiving so put up my tree earlier than usual. I Changed my plans so here I am.

I've completed another quilt. The pattern is called Courthouse steps, or stairs. I'm still learning. And im learning about patterns colors and placement from this one. I still love the fabrics and colors.
My friend who is getting this one's name is Rosie. The backing fabric was for that reason.

Homemade puttanesca with prawns. I'd normally serve it over fettuccine or spaghetti but that was the only ingredient I didn't have so I improvised with the rotini.

This is where thousands of snow geese winter. Trumpeter swans as well. This photo may be dreary but when the birds are there you'd think it had only snowed on the fields. It's truly amazing.

Good for you! I've been thinking about loaded potatoes lately. I enjoyed some homemade pozole. 😋

Speaking of frogs... I drove right through Portland, Oregon yesterday totally forgetting that there was a raging war going on! Thankfully, I made it through without incident! How lucky was that? 😂

Surviving on the Oregon coast while the war in Portland rages on.

I braved coming to the Oregon coast with the ongoing war in Portland. It's pretty peaceful and quiet here. Everyone must be away fighting the war.

Good morning. I'm taking advantage of the still morning after the crazy wind and rain last night. The fall colors are pretty. Have a fabulous day whatever you do!

Good morning, Lynne. I'm starting out with a coffee and a soak. If the rain holds out I'll do some fall yard cleanup. Otherwise, it'll be football and sewing until I meet girlfriends in Seattle for dinner later. I'm working on a Christmas quilt.

Good morning. Coffee and a soak this morning. I'm actually going to drain, clean and refill this baby today before watching the Marimers/Tigers game later.

I made pumpkin based broth today. I seasoned and roasted a pumpkin and blended it with chicken broth after roasting it. I'll make a soup with carrots, onions, celery, chicken, and Italian sausage with it. There's no recipe. Just learned it from my sister. It's delicious. I'll make the soup Monday.

I finished another quilt tonight. This one is for me. Fall colors are my favorite. I got the panel fabric at a quilt shop in Ohio while on a cross country trip 2 years ago.
