Nearly Black Friday again.

I'm struggling to parse the image of the girl standing with her hands on her hips in the background of this still from Clueless. My brain thinks that I'm looking at a teenage Fenella the Kettle Witch from Chorlton and the Wheelies.

Lots of atmosphere on Leith Links this afternoon as the haar was coming in. #Leith #Photography #Pixel9Pro

My copy of Mileships by @ianmcque.bsky.social was just delivered in Leith. It looks great!

I played a little Warhammer 40K before it REALLY took off. Otherwise it was D&D, Call of Cthulhu, and Laserburn for me. And Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks of course.

Sod it, I've cracked open the good sherry.

Since Bluesky doesn't allow for mixed media posts here's a video of a wee bit of ABC performing The Look of Love.

Cracking show from ABC, with Anne Dudley and The Lexicon Sinfonia, at Edinburgh's Usher Hall this evening. Lovely to hear some old favourites performed live. Martin Fry can still belt them out. Like jumping in a time machine and flying back to the 80s!

I didn't know that US Border Patrol Agents wore little Dora the Explorer style backpacks. They don't look very roomy though, probably just enough room for a wee snack and a juice box for play time.

There's a very cool crow mosaic not far from where I live. It's right beside where a number of crows regularly hang out, this is the only one I've seen in heels though.

ChatGPT to the rescue! It's quite something when you have to use a machine to make sense of what a supposed world leader is trying to say.

I had to ask ChatGPT to make sense of what Mr Trump was trying to say.

A TikTok awards event qualifies as 'news' apparently. 🙄

Reading about the Radical Road on the BBC news website reminded me that I ran it in February 2017 when I was trying out my new Saucony Peregrine trail shoes. It was hard going! #running #Edinburgh

I just started watching Parks and Recreation a few years ago when it was pulled from Netflix in the UK. I'm pleased to discover today that it's available to stream for free via the U streaming service. #ParksAndRecreation #StreamOnU

Ha! Suck it up.

I saw Dan Trachtenberg's Predator: Badlands this afternoon and I wasn't ready for how good it is! The trailers show maybe about 5% of what the film is about. See it for yourself as soon as you can on the biggest screen possible. I'm calling it: best Predator film yet! #PredatorBadlands

Some snaps from my post run walk at Coalie Park on the Water of Leith. The mural was designed by a former flatmate of mine. #Leith

I've watched the first two episodes of Pluribus, so far so good. It's a fascinating premise and I'm interested to see where the story goes. #Pluribus

I had to check for myself to see if this was a real photo of Donald Trump, it is. 📷Yoan Valat/AP.

I was treated to some lovely autumn light at Seafield and Leith Links on my post run walk this afternoon. #Leith #Pixel9Pro

Every day a school day. Today I found out that the 1985 Richard Pryor film Brewster's Millions is based on a 1902 novel by George Barr McCutcheon. This came to my attention when I wondered why Brewster's Millions hadn't been adapted for TV yet. Brewster's Billions now maybe?

I'm recycling an earlier reply. I asked ChatGPT why large language models seem to favour em dashes. I thought the answer was quite interesting. Well it was to me, I appreciate this kind of thing might not float everyone's boat!
