Right. But the subject being discussed wasn't "politics" per se but the way behaviors/choices (playing poker, licking cones, etc.) are socially regarded as "masculine"--or not.

Maybe. I think podcasts are a natural home for niche discussions around "self-help" generally.
Some create and maintain out of insecurity and fear, sure, but there are others focused on growth and learning without it.
Often the latter aren't profitable because they don't rely on or stir up fear.
