Hehe, that's newer than either my desktop (I bought it off a friend in 2015, but it really has 2012 parts) and my laptop (2016), so you're doing ok! I'm of the mind that if it works, then no need to replace (and I hate being wasteful with tech) but I've been running into some issues lately.

(Sweating bullets though! Big purchases give me anxiety, even if it's one that's going to help in a lot of ways.)

Ummm, I just ended up ordering an M4 Pro Mac Mini! Got it at a good price, all-told, and on a payment plan I can handle. Thanks again for your good advice though (even though I didn't end up waiting.) Gonna be a couple weeks before the device arrives, but I'm excited to join the Mac club soon!

It's the best. Five of my all-time favorite games on one system (Super Metroid, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Secret of Mana) plus so many more gems.

And oh man, so many good game soundtracks. I love the sound of that system.

Well, I for one loved it! I haven’t yet been let down by an Edgar Wright movie. I haven’t read the novel, and maybe I’d feel different if I had, but I just enjoyed the new film as its own thing.

That definitely makes sense! And I'm all for the future-proofing when it comes to getting new gear. MacBook Pro looks pretty good too! Since both my desktop and laptop are of similar vintage, they both have the same GFX card Adobe problem, so maybe I should have the MBPro on my radar too.
