Not actually an electric rabbit.

Resident of the People's Republic of Western Australia

White, middle-aged, male, heterosexual - but not scared of you if you're not.
The way the word "child" is studiously avoided in all these says it all.

Are you sure this is right? This doesn't match what the AFL says (though the number of picks is the same).

Round 3 looks like you've deleted a North pick @46, and not deleted an Eagles one @56 (or the AFL has got it the wrong way around).

I'd say the ALP needs a wake up call by losing a bunch of progressive seats they hold*, but we've seen with the toddlers - sorry Libs - just how bad political parties can be at reading messages sent to them by the electorate

(*see Perth, Fremantle, Cooper, Wills, Brisbane, Bean, Griffith etc)

The #AFL have a lot to answer for, holding the state's hopes of an AFL team ransom to building something that the state really can't afford to pour money into.

It's utter bastardry. If GC can play at Carrara, and GWS at the Sydney Showgrounds, then Tassie can play at Bellerive.

The best I've heard is lukewarm "meh" about it, while the worst is "why in the name of all holy fucks do we need this shit".

The AFL seems to have tin ears.

I think saying Basil *is* a mug would be a bit like saying water is wet.

Wondering how a team that won only one game last year has one of the harder fixtures ....
November 14, 2025 at 1:15 AM
Four and five year olds? Yeah it went almost immediately

What city seats do they even have now?

Across Perth and Adelaide: one peri-urban seat
Not one seat on Sydney Harbour (and stuff all others in Sydney)
Not one fully urban seat in Melbourne except Goldstein.
Pretty much evicerated in Brisbane.

They didn't even win the 2PP in *Warringah* FFS.

Oh, I reckon now it's:

Best case: he was one of the perpetrators
Worst case: he was the ringleader.

Last time I made it (for a kid's school thing), it was bog standard supermarket white bread, whatever margarine was in the fridge (probably the Aldi stuff), and 100s and 1000s (not any other type of sprinkle).
November 13, 2025 at 3:05 PM
Definitely 100s and 1000s, on bog standard supermarket white bread.

This is the Australian way, and to cross this is to offend an entire nation.
November 13, 2025 at 9:59 AM
Not just any sort of sprinkles. 100s and 1000s. This is crucial.

To be fair, if I had Kier Starmer as leader, I'd be shitting the bed about leadership too.

Albo's pretty bloody useless, but Starmer makes him look almost Gough like.

I suspect Collingwood are fine to be in Opening Round, as long as they don't have to *travel* in Opening Round.

Now they get the benefit of an extra bye week to freshen up along side not having to travel.

(Few WA and SA teams would love that, to reduce the travel burden with a break)

Think that the moderates are more like this (with apologies for defacing the cartoon that's much better than anything I could do!):
November 13, 2025 at 4:31 AM
It's quite possible there will never be another Liberal PM. They've basically told anyone who expects to live for another 40 years to go fuck themselves for short term fossil fuel profits - and openly so*.

(*unlike the ALP who at least veneer over this policy)
November 13, 2025 at 2:31 AM
"Hey kids, get fucked" is an interesting message to send if they ever want to be elected again.
November 13, 2025 at 2:16 AM
Some of those who work forces
Are those who wear swastikas

[There are of course many police officers who aren't this, but hey, look at this]
November 11, 2025 at 9:22 AM
It's 34 again today here.

(I'm over that part of summer already - at least tomorrow is 23)
November 11, 2025 at 6:51 AM
So, Opening Round was supposed to be a showcase of the game in the Northern States.

Now it includes a *Collingwood* game at the *MCG*. Because the Pies (of all teams) don't want to travel.

Hey #AFL, how about including all 18 teams in it, and maybe, I don't know, you could call it "Round 1".
November 11, 2025 at 5:18 AM
I think the main problem with "wildcard round" isn't that it's Americanisation of the game (though it is), so much as *enshittification* of it.

There's no need for 9th/10th to be playing finals. They're not going to be competitive at the pointy end anyway.
November 11, 2025 at 3:17 AM
It's an AFL brain fart that should be dumped back in the bin where it belongs before we have to suffer its idiocy.

Just because the AFL looked at America and saw the term "wildcard" and thought "that sounds cool" doesn't mean it's not a colossal waste of time.
November 11, 2025 at 2:56 AM
Hilarious how the tech-bros describe themselves and their actions as "alpha" given the meaning in software.

(To be fair, they're not far off: buggy and not ready to be let out in public, incomplete and generally not fully functional)
November 11, 2025 at 2:46 AM
I genuinely don't think the Americans are our allies, I think they're our political bullies.
