Eligible voter 18 years or over, Canadian citizen, Manitoba resident 2. Criminal record check 3. Non-partisan Remain completely non-partisan for the term of appointment Desired qualifications: Leadership (you’d hire and train up to 120 employees). High-level communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Computer skills. Logistics, project management, and financial reporting. Ability to work long days during an election period. Term of employment Part-time: September 2026 to July 2027. Full-time: August 2027 to October 2027. During the election period, ROs and AROs work longer hours, 7 days a week. The election is currently set for Oct. 5, 2027 but may be called sooner. Pay Returning officers: approximately $16,000. Assistant returning officers: approximately $14,000. Plus additional pay for training.

Democracy Month is coming to an end, but you can still register to vote whenever you like. Registering makes voting faster. When you get a new address or change your name, head to electionsmanitoba.ca/register and update your spot on the voters list.

All ballots from the Spruce Woods byelection have been counted. A total of 6,008 people voted.

Official results will be available on the Elections Manitoba website later this week, but unofficial results are available now.
