Congratulations Beth 🎉🎉🎉Fabulous poem in the fabulous ‘Aftershock Review’ @maxwallis.bsky.social - this small but mighty poem more than holds its space! I love it like a prayer … polished and buffed like the taps you turn and off with your elbows 🥰😘❤️

Yes reading this, and from what you had said before about your journalist background made me think you had been there, in it, writing from that place. That powerful reality really comes across in your poem. I’m learning from my husband & his family about the Spanish civil war & dictatorship in Spain

Only just catching up on the last few weeks of #poemsabout … this is fantastic, ecstatic almost… the build has this almost transcendent quality! Humble subject matter,
elevated to new heights! 🙌

The shift from pastoral almost to the horror of war makes this all the more hard hitting Karen xxx

This packs such a punch Ian, wow! Less definitely is more here… really felt this. 🙏

Wow, Edward! This is such a rich exploration of #dogtags for #poemsabout … the triolet form so accomplished, the repetition really adding to the narrative and futility of war. Also the tanka and haiku also… tackling another language as well! Hats off, brilliant 🙌
