So, I've been using outlining to refer to a specific process I do when I plot things out, where I write a synopsis for each chapter and then a synopsis for each scene within the chapter. But out of curiosity I googled exactly what outlining was and it seems a completely different thing to what I do.

Aside from the fact that "the world's idea machine" is such an asinine buzzword phrase it makes me feel sick, it doesn't even fucking mean anything. It's like they wanted to be pretentious but they have no substance, so just settled for pretentious vibes instead.

I’d really love to write a full on horror story but I feel I do not have it in me to be scary. I can do depressing, violent, gory, even disgusting. But scary? I have my doubts?

I really just wish there was a good social media platform.
Like I am very lucky that I'm so tiny and insignificant that I don't have to put up with harassment or being shadow banned or outright banned and stuff like that. But seeing other people deal with it still sucks.

Do any fellow authors (ooh, the imposter syndrome hates that) also come up with ideas in the form of like a world, not necessarily a story idea. Like I’m pretty okay at getting a good story idea from the worldbuilding my brain does but the idea always seems to start as a world.
