I thought he was entirely clear about the complications and contradictions inherent. Liked the use of landscape as historical source. Love the idea that Telegraph has a BBC Bias ‘Dossier’!

Possible the historian in Dublin branch of my family might be able to help. Could you round up the inf and thoughts you have on the photo in email to me? My grandfather also had newsagent in Amiens Street and I’m sure Clarke’s name has come up so others might be known.

We swapped! Had a happy childhood growing up on a British Airports Authority estate at Hounslow West. The Underground and the buses were my routes to everything London had to offer.

I thought the 28 pages of Darina Allen's Ballymaloe Cookery Course index in a book of over 600 pages was a pretty good ratio but now I see it could have been better!
