Those lacking true talent have to resort to saying outrageous things to get noticed. Conservative commentators are in a battle amongst themselves for the tiny fraction of the audience that wants to be outraged.

Many political observers (like Bill Maher) often point out that conservatives HATE liberals. But I have never seen a solid basis for that hatred. In reality, conservatives are bound together by their common need to hate SOMETHING.

In urban areas (New York, Chicago, Detroit), any black teen or young adult standing on the sidewalk is obviously there to deliver drugs. Therefore, the administration should authorize local police to pull up, fire a lethal number of bullets, then depart leaving the body behind.

The universe of conservative commentators is competing amongst themselves to see who can say the most outrageous things in a battle for an audience share among the fragment of viewership that enjoys being outraged.

Speaking with the experience of a career in the media: Today's crop of conservative commentators, influencers, etc. realize that the lack the talent to garner an audience otherwise requires them to say the most outrageous things imaginable to make a name for themselves.

Tobacco use kills nearly 500,000 Americans each year. Why aren’t we launching strikes against Walmart, 7-11 and Circle K?
