Looks like Google may be hiding the effects of the ICE raid and subsequent protest at the Home Depot in Paramount? Apple Maps is showing the area completely affected but Google Maps shows the area like nothing ever happened.

I’ve always thought it an indignity that American car enthusiasts’ last ride will be a shitty Lincoln Town Car hearse. So a huge kudos to whoever in my neighborhood decided to import this UK-spec RHD Mercedes-Benz W210 hearse!! When I go, make this be my final ride. #weirdcarbs

Environmental experts: what’s better overall for the environment (cars are hypothetical): a brand new 2025 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid which got me 53.2 mpg over the week but has new car manufacturing impact, or a 10 year old used car that gets 18 mpg but no new car manufacturing impact (reuse/recycle!)?

Bring back travel agents. I can't anymore. Trying to book a complicated travel itinerary involving multiple parties and differing forms of payment (some with miles, some with money) online and making them all sync up is the worst.

There is so much wrong here. Neither are GTIs. One is a Golf Country but wearing what look like T3 wheel covers? And a five-door standard Mk1. Do better!

For real. The fact that this was prominently displayed at the 2025 4Runner media drive says it all. Not that I'm complaining because I too have the Toyota truck/SUV nostalgia bug too. But yeah, nostalgia can bring in big $$$, as we are currently seeing with Toyota trucks and SUVs.

Honda 0 Series Saloon will have sort of pop-up headlights. More like slide-back headlight covers. I know this is technically a concept but the Honda people say it's very close to the real thing.

Just for fun from AutoPacific's FADS study: Top brands more likely to be considered by Dems, and top brands more favored by GOP or smallest difference between GOP and Dems. The ONLY brand more favored by GOP is Ram. Simply, Dem shoppers are much more open to more brands than GOP shoppers.

Behold, possibly the most underrated car of 2025. The 2025 VW Jetta SEL is loaded at $30k. Luxurious. Teutonic solidity. Precise steering. Real 8-spd auto, no CVT. Quiet. Ultra-refined engine. Drives like it costs $10k more. 35 mpg over 300+ miles of even highway and city. Why do you need a CUV?

Unpopular take? I think that the Fratzonic "exhaust" on the Dodge Charger Daytona makes the car feel slower 'cause the exhaust note pitch is only proportional to vehicle speed (no upshifts), so "revs" rise VERY slowly even as you accelerate hard. Turn off the sound and it instantly feels way faster.

I love so many things about the VW ID. Buzz. But what in the world was VW thinking by not having ANY cup holders in the second row of a family vehicle?! The third row has them but not the second. WTF? This is basic Car Interior Design 101 stuff here.
