A post Lame Duck 2024🧵:

An open letter to the IrREParable Karen Quitsett (Whitsett):

Cue the slow clap.

Congratulations on being the individual who (by your dereliction of duty) prevented the people of Michigan from having the following things sooner rather than later:

I'm proud to share that the Senate passed our critical housing protection legislation last night. Every Michigander should have the dignity of putting a roof over their head, no matter where they get their income.

Yesterday, MAGA state reps had the chance to support survivors of sex trafficking—women and girls who have endured unimaginable trauma. Instead, they voted against measures designed to help them.

This is the same party that claims to “champion women” and be “pro-family.”

Passing our #wateraffordability legislation not only is the moral thing to do for Michigan families struggling to pay their bills.

It's also the smart thing to do to protect our public health.

It's the prudent thing to do for the stability of our cities and townships' water providers. #mileg

Jordan Neely was unarmed. He needed support and care.

Instead, he received a death sentence. His family grieves while the man who took his life walks free.

Dan Gilbert has a net worth of $25b.

Someone making $50,000 a year would have to work for 500,000 years (saving every penny) to amass that fortune.

GM is making record profits.

Yet they still have the nerve to ask for a $250 Million handout.

Trump's proposed 25% tariff on goods imported from Canada will devastate Michiganders. Tariffs will result an immediate increase in gas prices since Canadian oil feeds into key refineries in the Midwest. Also, Trump Tariffs will crush the Big 3 as auto parts see prices skyrocket. Dumb.
