Eira is tied to the goddess Eir, who is a deity of healing and mercy. Brand is Germanic and means 'Sword'. Not only was my chosen name shorter and had the right bounce I wanted, but it also meant "Healing or Merciful Sword." And how awesome is that? #queerauthor #lgbtq #trans #queer

The day after coming out, I picked my name. If I was going to be an author, I had to make sure I could picture my name on a cover. I spent several hours researching names from regions I was from, the Scandinavian and Germanic parts of Europe. #queerauthor #lgbtq #trans #queer
