My dad introduced me to Kansas as a kid. Other songs trickled in through stations or pop culture. I'm always blown away by how much of the alternative music I loved in the late 90s and 00s was inspired by such rock. The music of Jimi Hendrix and many other guitarist from that time don't sound dated.
