How? Cat.
Because cat.

This one is MUCH gentler! So in theory, my IPL device shouldn't make me a horror monster cosplayer after 2 weeks of use!

END OF REVIEW.

Anyway, the reason I say my current setup is insufficient is because my current razor is for lopping off head hair, so you'll have a lot of stubble after the fact. I'd need to use my razor, then use a hand one, which is not good for your skin!

Also be careful you don't accidentally fling the blade pieces across your room when opening it up! They are very light and not happy about it!

Then you can remove each of the blades and clean it out thoroughly. The knob is a real pain to get your fingers around, but keep trying! Anti-clockwise to remove, clockwise to reattach.

However, running it for half a second so it froths out the stuck hairs that I slowly pick out didn't exactly working either. The solution? Open it up, turn this twist knob(?) in the centre of the blade section's plastic.

Apparently you can vacuum it to clean it up, but I don't like how I feel sticking a hoover inside a device full of brittle looking plastic! Not that it helped in my case.

It's worth noting that if you have long (head) hair you want to keep whilst doing your neck, chin, chest, etc, and it gets caught, this razor will NOT win that battle, and the end result is a £50 device that makes expensive noises at you!

It does an excellent job giving a close shave of short, rough hairs...when it hits. I find I need to twirl it around, and shimmy about and somehow it will still miss some of them. But when it connects, by golly does it work well!

Upon receiving, I thought that it was shipped uncharged, as pressing the power button didn't do anything. However, plugging the charger in for only a moment revealed it was at full capacity, so I'm not sure what the deal was with that.

I decided "no, actually. I'll do it now."
I know it's a small clinic, but I'm surprised I got a response the very next day lol

I WAS in fact referred, and they even provided a copy of my referral form. Ta muchly! (You'd be surprised how often that's a road block for others.)

I had to edit the speech bubble at the bottom a little bit, so apologies if it's a bit wonky but I don't think it's too bad. (I keep underestimating the challenge of vertically written Japanese lol)

I often express my annoyance at Windows 10 forcing updates. I have had to reinstall my OS at least 4 times because an update broke something for no good reason!

Still a thing for me. Not sure if it's different on mobile.

All that said, I DO worry if the receptionist did her job and sent it out after I left. The instructions weren't difficult but maybe I should check in after a few weeks? I set myself a reminder for the 6th of January, 2026. Idk why they don't send a confirmation email for this.

On a funnier note, I had my blood pressure taken for the first time in my life and WOW, THOSE THINGS REALLY SQUEEZE YOUR ARM! I did not expect it to be that tight!
November 11, 2025 at 4:39 PM
The receptionist was baffled by this concept and spent 5 minutes reading over the papers like the idea of scanning a document to send to a specialised clinic was a foreign concept and not a basic thing any receptionist does??

WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME?! ANYWAY! I fill out a forum with the nice lady who prints out the referral papers and sends me down to reception asking me to tell reception to put the clinic’s email down, have it scanned and then send it to the GIC’s email for me…

Lovely practitioners (Doctors) held back by the world’s most incompetent receptionist! Apparently I was assigned a person I can see for referrals (In my case, to the GIC) and other general needs already…NEWS TO ME! I was told I had to ask for one on their website!

Yeah, consistency is a big thing. I haven't used it all year, so all my progress is DEFINITELY gone lol
I was running it at max settings, and it was doing nasty things to my skin. My neck looked like a horror movie monster >.>
