Finally watched Ikoku Nikki ep1.
Not bad.
The staff reorganized the first few chapters. It felt pretty smooth.
The combination of minimal design and cozy atmosphere is good.
I'm not sure how far the anime will depict the manga's social messages, but I'll keep watching it.

Finally watched Ikoku Nikki ep1.
Not bad.

It's interesting that the otaku side of manga fandom was not interested in AsuKano (Tomorrow, I'll Be Someone's Girlfriend) when it was very popular.

Fate Rewinder is enjoyable, but it's in the kids manga framework.
I think grown-up fans' praise on the social media is a bit too much. It's a well-made kids manga.
I hope Rie Matsumoto ana Bones will make a gorgeous anime adapatation.

関連があるかどうか少し微妙ですが、最近、『半分姉弟』がポリコレでゴリ押しされてるんじゃないかと、アメリカの反表現規制系のインフルエンサーに取り上げられて、不当に炎上したことがありましたね
彼らの視界には、トーチというメディアの存在感とか、漫画マニアという世界はあんまり見えてない
だから「オルタナティブ漫画とか言うけど、その読者具体的に何人なの？」みたいな話は押さえておきたいところです

ある作品が海外でウケる、ウケないという時に具体的に「どの圏で、どの規模で」というのは前提しておかないと話が整理しきれない恐れはありますね。
「アングレーム国際漫画祭で受賞したが大多数の一般若年読者には読まれてない」みたいな日本漫画があった時、海外でウケてると言うのかどうか
