A proud, hysterical, alarmist American sounding the fascism alarm, being proven more right by the day.

I peaked in the 90s. So did cinema (especially psychological thrillers) and this country.

With the help of a complicit Congress

Yeah yeah yeah, I know. I was sloppy.

1/2 people is dumber than average. As personally encouraging as that can be, it’s really quite scary when you think about it.

It didn’t hurt that meanwhile Trump was simultaneously running daily Gilded Age newsreels and bulldozing the White House

As upset as I was when the “cave” happened, I think the most they could have hoped for with the shutdown is exactly what they ended up getting — bringing the issue of healthcare affordability to the forefront and sticking the GOP holding the bag…if an ACA extension was truly out of the question

Imagine if he hadn’t had an unplanned, extended vacation to recharge

We’d stand a much better chance at getting them to the table if we went as far as even hinting we were selling lots of weapons to Ukraine even if we never did.

Big win. Big win.

If Pete Hegseth were made a software engineering manager overnight, i guarantee the first thing he’d do tomorrow is find an already late project and add resources to it. #brookslaw #idiot

2028 can’t come fast enough. These things need to be fixed and then protected. We need to make sure that more and more of our government requires that changes go through Congress and not be subject to radical change or elimination via XO.

My sister just graduated from Vanderbilt as a nurse practitioner and without loans there’s no chance in hell she’d ever have been able to do that. Who can afford college at all without some amount of strident loans? It’s literally becoming an option only for the wealthy, as if it wasn’t already.

A24 alone is releasing enough good stuff to help buoy the film industry.

Stone Roses and Ride were both absolute mainstays for me in college and remain two of the most powerful musical Influences in my life.

How in the fuck is nurse practitioner not considered a professional degree? As if we needed another thing to rip at our healthcare system, we’ve just made it impossible for the average American student to take up the study.

That’s makes it extra special…but we all know he will conveniently ignore that and leave it out when he blames Biden for letting him in

I just don’t want to see this used as a reason to refuse asylum to otherwise deserving people and this is more likely to add fuel to Trumps anti immigration agenda.
