The Pelicans entire team is basically signed next year, with the team $5m under the 1st Apron. Although we need to figure out the bench, and what to do with Dejounte and Poole (if they don’t fit around the young starters), there’s nothing we HAVE to do. Pretty strong starting position.

No one who played last night was in the league in 2020, and half are in year 1 or 2. That was an extremely young squad being asked by their coach of 3 days to ramp up their speed and passing against the best defending team in the league. And they still only needed a quarter to figure things out.
