Olen lukenut ja kuunnellut Tolkienin teoksia lapsesta asti uudelleen ja uudelleen. Aiemmin minua kiinnosti yksityiskohdat, kuten kuvaukset erilaisista örkeistä, niin nykyään huomio kiinnittyy teemoihin kuten toivo, uskollisuus ja rohkeuden löytäminen. Tokien käsittelee niitä paljon.

Getting the frozen russian assets for Ukraine would be a good start. Sending troops to watch Belorusian and Moldovan borders could work. Why not close the skies, too? Find a way to cut russian baltic shadow fleet?

At least European pacifism is the latter TODAY. Things used to look very different before. The realities must have been the same for a long time for someone really looking into it, but I can't blame people for not being 100% informed about everything 100% of the time.

I think it is "on the other hand". My english is not the best today.

There is a difference between, in one hand, refusing to participate in aggression and, in the other, undermining defence against imminent aggression. The former might be pacifism in russia, if ever there was any. European pacifism is the latter.

Here’s a scenario that I think deserves a closer look:

How about Russia GETS THE FUCK OUT OF UKRAINE.

Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Perhaps I should emphasize two points: 1: it is important that the talks are joint: a single country can be bullied. 2: this wouldn't necessarily have to lead to nuclear proliferation, if necessary action is taken to prevent any future nuclear coercion

European and South East Asian non-nuclear states need to start joint talks about walking away from nuclear non-proliferation treaty. If nuclear states start acting like predators, nuclear weapons become synonymous with survival.

We must have the cards.

It would be a great time for joint talks for all the non-nuclear states close to Russia or China, about walking away from nuclear non-proliferation treaty. When nuclear states start acting like predators, nuclear weapons become synonymous to survival.

We must have the cards.

Not that there were any signs of this emerging any time soon. But the logic of US choosing russia over Europe (incl Ukraine) and the Western Europe bending under russian nuclear coercion leave no room for doubt. We need nukes, whether we can get them or not.

True. There will also have to be new and reliable sources of nuclear deterrence in Eastern Europe.

Fine, fine. It is true many Western European countries didn't really do their part. But it is the Polish prime ministers post we are commenting.
